Flights in and out of Faro tomorrow (Wednesday) will be hit by a general strike in the country.
Most readers should by now have made alternative arrangements, but in case you are still wondering what the situation is, here are some guidelines.
Ryanair flights to and from Faro and Cork, Dublin, Frankfurt, Glasgow, Liverpool, London Gatwick, London Stansted and Porto have been cancelled.
The airline advises passengers who were booked to travel on one of the cancelled flights that they can transfer to the next available flight free of charge or apply for a refund on their unused flight(s) at the airport ticket desk, online or by calling our reservation centre.
Easyjet do not list which of their flights are cancelled but advise passengers to use the online flight departure checker service to check the status of individual flights.
TAP Portugal strongly recommends that travellers rebook for alternative dates. Passengers currently booked on any TAP services on November 24 can be rebooked once, free of charge.
As long as at least one segment is affected, the entire itinerary may be rebooked providing the new dates/flights are booked either 2 days before or 2 days after 24 November.
Some airlines that serve Faro, such as Monarch (www.monarch.co.uk) have no flights scheduled for tomorrow.
But if you are due to fly with another airline, or have booked your tickets through a tour operator, please contact them.
