Bruno Machado and Caju scored either side of half-time in Lisbon to secure a more than deserved 2-0 victory over Oriental and lift Farense into second place in the national third division (south).

In the Fourth Division Serie F Lagos maintained the pressure on top club Moura with a 1-0 success over Aljustrelense while the Algarve derby between Lagoa and Lusitano VRSA ended all square at 2-2.

Lastly, district league newcomers Algarve United recorded a 3-0 away victory over 11 Esperanças in only their second game of the season and now lie in joint second place behind leaders FC Ferreiras.
