The Silves Rotary Club is presenting a concert of classical music by the Opus 3 String Trio on Saturday, November 22. It will feature professional viola player Petra Vahle (a member of Silves Rotary Club) and her colleagues Sandrine Cantoreggi playing violin and Martin Henneken playing the cello.
Martin is currently performing with the renowned Gulbenkian Orchestra in Lisbon.
Opus 3 will be performing a dynamic and varied programme. These three musicians have been playing professionally since their youth in leading orchestras.
This performance will take place in the wonderfully atmospheric Teatro Mascarenhas Gregório, Rua Cândido dos Reis (on corner of Rua Diogo Manuel) in Silves. Ticket price is €25 which includes welcome drinks. The theatre doors and bar open at 7pm and the concert starts at 8pm. The concert will be one hour with a 20-minute interval.

- Préludium and Fugue in F major K404a N° 3 – W.A. Mozart / J.S. Bach
- Scherzo and Andante for String Trio – Jean Français
- Präludium and Nocturne for String Trio – Henri Tomasi
- Sérenade in D major, op 8 for String Trio – L. Van Beethoven
All funds raised at this event will support Silves Rotary Club educational projects with local state schools.
