The Grande Mostra de Vinhos de Portugal will return to Albufeira from April 17 to April 19, bringing hundreds of Portuguese wines to Albufeira’s EMA (multiuse space).
Organisers say this year’s edition will feature a refreshed image and a stronger focus on “elevating the visitor experience”. Over three days, visitors will be able to discover multitudes of Portuguese wine labels, with particular attention given to “small-scale productions and exclusive editions from well-known wineries,” organisers say.

The wine showcase has become a regular feature of Albufeira’s cultural and tourism calendar. The 2025 edition attracted around 10,000 visitors, with 120 producers presenting more than 800 national wines.
Alongside the exhibition, the 11th edition of the Concurso de Vinhos de Portugal (Portugal Wine Contest) will also take place. Last year, more than three dozen wines were awarded after being evaluated in blind tastings by a specialist jury.
This year’s judging sessions are scheduled for April 11 and April 12, with the results to be announced during the official dinner on April 17.
The wine showcase will run daily from 3pm to 9pm, except on the opening day, April 17, when it will close at 8pm.
Entry to the venue is free, although visitors who wish to take part in wine tastings must purchase the event’s official glass for €5.
The event is organised by the Confraria do Bacchus de Albufeira in partnership with Albufeira Municipality, with support from the Algarve Tourism Region, the Albufeira Promotion Agency (APAL) and the Algarve Wine Commission.
Now in its 15th edition, the event was presented at the Albufeira stand during the BTL tourism fair in Lisbon by Carlos Oliveira, chancellor of the Confraria do Bacchus de Albufeira. The launch formed part of the municipality’s official programme at the event and was attended by the Secretary of State for Tourism, Pedro Machado, along with other guests and partners.
