Tala and Terri are two of nine puppies rescued from a dumpster
This past month at Cadela Carlota in Lagos has been all about new beginnings – both for our puppies and the young people who came to visit.
Tala and Terri are two of nine puppies rescued from a dumpster earlier this year. With the help of our incredible foster families, these siblings have grown into healthy, happy pups full of curiosity and energy.
Tala, now 11 weeks old, is gentle, affectionate and playful – she’s the kind of puppy who wins hearts wherever she goes. Terri, her brother, is full of bounce and confidence. He recently went out for a walk without his sister for the first time and took it all in his stride! Both are now ready to find their forever homes and start the next chapter of their lives.
We were also thrilled to welcome two student groups from Brave Generation Academy in Lagos. Their visit brought a wonderful buzz to the shelter – lots of cuddles, playtime and thoughtful questions. The students showed such kindness and curiosity, and our dogs loved the extra attention.
Huge thanks to Emilie and Daniel for organising the visits, and to all the students for the generous donations they brought along – both practical supplies and a very kind monetary contribution. Your support makes a real difference to the lives of our dogs and the work we do.
It was a week of happy tails and hopeful hearts – of learning, laughter and love. Whether you foster, adopt, donate or simply visit, you’re part of the Cadela Carlota family. Together, we’re helping dogs like Tala and Terri get the best possible start.
