Quilting for Madrugada

A group of women of mixed nationality have decided to make a large quilt to help raise money for the Madrugada charity that is dedicated to helping people and their families affected by life-limiting illness.

The ‘Monday Munchers’ meet regularly to pursue their hobby of quilting and patchwork. Following the death of a friend who had been helped by Madrugada they decided to make a quilt, measuring 120cms x 180cms, to help raise funds for the charity. Members of the group, formed in 1995, work on many different personal projects as well as take part in workshops where they learn new techniques.

The draw for the Madrugada quilt will be made in December and raffle tickets are available from members of the group or at Madrugada charity shops in Praia da Luz, Portimão and Almancil.
