Cadela Carlota is delighted to be part of the very first 3R Eco Festival at LACO Business Hub, Chinicato, Lagos on Saturday, September 13, 2025. This unique event celebrates the principles of Reduce, Reuse, Repurpose – with Cadela Carlota proudly adding a fourth R: Rescue.
The festival is organised by LILAC (Living in Lagos Artists Collective), one of the creative tenants at LACO Hub. LILAC regularly hosts art workshops in Lagos, encouraging people of all ages to explore their creativity through sustainable, community-focused projects. At the festival, they will showcase how leftover and overlooked materials can be transformed into something beautiful and inspiring. You can follow their activities on Instagram.
The 3R Eco Festival will be a family-friendly day full of workshops, exhibitions, food, and fun. Expect eco-art activities, a fashion swap, styling and Instagram corner, kids’ sessions with SOMAR, and stalls where sustainability and creativity meet. There will also be freshly roasted coffee from Studio Coffee Roastery and delicious empanadas made on-site (just 100 available, in keeping with the festival’s ethos of reducing food waste).
Cadela Carlota will host a Charity Clothing Sale, offering everything from vintage finds to everyday staples, with every euro going directly towards food and veterinary care for the animals in our care. We’ll also have a “changing room with a twist” – possibly inside a dog house! By shopping second-hand, you’re not only reducing waste but also rescuing lives.
Our charity shops in Lagos and Almádena have long been the beating heart of our fundraising efforts. They not only raise vital funds for the daily running of the shelter but also give the community a place to donate pre-loved items, knowing that each contribution helps improve the lives of abandoned cats and dogs.
We’d also love visitors to bring along their loose coins – “Change for Change” – small donations really do add up and make a big difference.
The festival runs from 10am to 4pm at LACO Business Hub, Sítio do Chinicato S/N, Lagos. Come discover this growing hub of creativity, sustainability, and innovation – and help us prove that the 4Rs really can make the world a better place.
