They are waiting – tails wagging – for a loving home
Over the past month, we’ve been overwhelmed by the community’s support as we introduced many of the puppies abandoned in our area. From shares to donations and adoptions, your compassion is helping us give these young dogs a brighter future. We’ll be sharing updates on their progress soon, but today, we want to turn the spotlight on two very special dogs who have been waiting far too long for their forever home.
Rantanplan – Four Years and Counting!
Rantanplan arrived at the shelter after being rescued from a situation of mistreatment as a young dog. That was four years ago. Since then, he’s grown into an active, intelligent, and loyal companion. Medium to large in size, Rantanplan gets along well with other dogs and absolutely adores people.
He’s well-behaved on the lead and makes a perfect partner for outdoor adventures. His calm, affectionate nature makes him a wonderful fit for a family ready to open their hearts to a loving companion. Could you be the one to give him the home he deserves?
Zara – Since 2016, Still Waiting
Zara has spent nearly her entire life at the shelter. She and her siblings were abandoned as tiny puppies at the Lagos Kennel in 2016. All her siblings have since been adopted – but Zara is still waiting. Full of character, Zara is a sweet, calm girl who loves nothing more than a gentle stroll, a good meal (or three!), and plenty of attention.
She gets along well with male dogs but prefers not to share her space with other females. In truth, she’d be happiest as the only dog in a peaceful home where she can enjoy the undivided love and affection she so richly deserves. After so many years in the shelter, it’s time for Zara to experience life in a real home.
You can meet both Rantanplan and Zara in person at the shelter, open to visitors every Saturday and Sunday morning between 8am and 11.30am. They’ll be waiting – tails wagging – for the chance to meet someone who might just change their lives.
